Sarah has been singing for as long as she can remember. It was a homemade wooden stage in her Grandma’s backyard where she would put on shows for her family that began her passion for storytelling through music. She began training at the Royal Conservatory of Music as a child, extensively training with private music coaches, including renowned Stratford / Mirvish performer Denise Oucharek. Sarah has worked in the performing arts industry as a performer, choreographer, and accomplished instructor. Her vocal training includes the genres of musical theatre, jazz, pop, rock, classical, and choral music. Sarah also studied piano, theory, dance, and dramatic arts. Sarah strives to inspire a love of music in the children she works with, putting equal emphasis on mastery and fostering a fun environment. She has experience teaching everyone from toddlers to adults, and holds her High Five Principles of Healthy Childhood Development certification. Sarah’s teaching philosophy focuses on helping students achieve their personal musical goals at a pace that is comfortable for them. She works on technique, repertoire, and other activities, such as warm-up and performance tips to help her students grow as performers and people.
Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, from Ryerson University’s innovative Creative Industries program, majoring in the Music Industry and Acting / Dance Studies modules, with a specialization in Business from Ted Rogers School of Management. She also completed a Minor in Music and Culture from Ryerson's Department of Philosophy and Music and was on the FCAD Dean’s List four consecutive years. Prior to university, Sarah attended Cawthra Park Secondary School’s Regional Arts Program as a Music (Vocal) Major, and received her Specialized High Skills Major in Arts & Culture. Sarah was part of multiple choirs and competed annually in Ontario Vocal Festivals with female repertoire ensemble Les Belles Classiques. She has received multiple awards including the Ontario Arts Medallion, Musical Theatre Award, Excellence and Leadership in Music Award, Dramatic Arts Award, and Outstanding Contribution to Music Award.

As a dancer, Sarah recently interned under World Latin Dance Cup Judge, Vanesa Stay, at Latin Energy and performed on Celebration Square's main stage for Mississauga Latin Festival. Sarah loves helping unleash the potential in others and sees how performing contributes to making active listeners, critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and more confident people overall.
