As a young girl, Jill grew up watching her grandfather draw maps for a living. He taught her basic technical drawing and introduced her to watercolour, acrylic, and oil painting. Throughout high school, she dabbled with different traditional medias such as inking and colour pencil art but ultimately fell in love with digital media upon being introduced to Adobe Photoshop. She also uses digital media software such as Paint Tool SAI and Adobe Illustrator to create illustration, logo designs, short comics, and character designs for independent video games.
Jill attended Durham College for Digital Arts – Animation with a focus on character concept art and continues to work as a freelance artist and art teacher
