Frequently Asked Questions About Our Mississauga Guitar Lessons
Do we need to bring a guitar to lessons?
While having your own guitar for home practice is eventually necessary, we have quality guitars available for use during your trial lesson and can advise on the best instrument for your needs.
What styles of guitar do you teach?
We offer instruction in acoustic, electric, and classical guitar across various styles including rock, jazz, blues, folk, and classical. Our teachers adapt their approach to match your musical interests.
How accessible is your studio from Mississauga?
We’re just 15 minutes from Square One via Highway 403, with free parking and direct MiWay bus routes. Our central location makes us accessible from anywhere in Mississauga.
What makes your location ideal for Mississauga students?
Our studio offers easy highway access, free parking, proximity to major transit routes, and professional facilities with both acoustic and electric guitar setups. We’re just minutes from Applewood with flexible scheduling to accommodate busy Mississauga families.
What age can my child start guitar lessons?
We welcome guitar students starting at age 5. By this age, most children have the hand size and coordination to hold and play a properly sized guitar. Our instructors use age-appropriate methods and can recommend the right guitar size — typically a 1/2 or 3/4 size for younger students, moving to full size around age 12.
Should my child start with acoustic or electric guitar?
Both are great options. Acoustic guitar needs no extra equipment and helps develop finger strength, while electric guitar is often easier to press and more motivating for students interested in rock or pop. Our teachers can help you decide during the trial lesson based on your child’s interests and hand size.
