Kids Art Classes in Toronto

Creative Art Classes for Toronto Kids Since 2010

Muzart Music and Art School has been providing kids art classes to Toronto families for over fifteen years. Our group art program runs in small classes of maximum 6 students, giving each child individual attention while they learn alongside peers in a fun, structured environment.

Young artists explore a wide range of mediums including drawing (graphite, charcoal, pastels), painting (acrylics, watercolour), mixed media, sculpture, and digital art creation on iPad workstations. Our experienced art instructors adapt projects to each age group, building foundational skills for younger children and introducing more advanced techniques for older students. All art supplies are included in your tuition — there’s nothing extra to buy.

Our studio at 225 The East Mall in Etobicoke is easily accessible from Toronto via Highway 427 or TTC Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth), with free parking on-site.

Frequently Asked Questions About Kids Art Classes in Toronto

How many students are in each class?

We keep a maximum of 6 students per class. This small group size ensures each child receives individual attention from their instructor while still benefiting from the social and collaborative aspects of learning with peers.

What age groups do you offer?

We run two programs: Junior Artists for ages 5–8 and Senior Artists for ages 8–12. Projects and teaching methods are tailored to each age group — younger children focus on fundamentals and creative exploration, while older students work on more advanced techniques and concepts.

What art mediums do kids work with?

Students explore drawing (graphite, charcoal, pastels, coloured pencils), painting (acrylics, watercolour), mixed media, collage, sculpture, and digital art on iPads. The curriculum rotates through different mediums so children develop a well-rounded set of skills.

Can my child join a class mid-term?

Yes. Our curriculum is designed so that new students can integrate smoothly at any point. Each class builds individual skills while contributing to overall artistic development, so there’s no need to wait for a new session to begin.

Do you coordinate with school schedules?

Our class times work around Toronto school schedules. We offer after-school time slots on weekdays and Saturday morning options. Classes run from September through June during the school year.

How do you handle different skill levels in the same group?

Our small class size allows instructors to adapt guidance for each child individually. Projects are designed with flexibility — every student works on the same theme but at a level of complexity that matches their abilities. This keeps everyone challenged and engaged.

How do I get to your studio from Toronto?

Take TTC Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) westbound to Kipling Station — our studio is a 10-minute walk or quick bus ride south to The East Mall. By car, take the Gardiner Expressway to Highway 427 North; the drive from most Toronto neighbourhoods is 15–25 minutes with free parking on-site.
